Legal News Alert: A Word about Talking

When you are in a store, and are asked for your phone number, do you give it out? The better answer is “I do not disclose my phone number.”

 

Have you talked with your children about giving out personal information?

 

When you  are asked for private information by someone with a legitimate reason, do you look around to see who might be listening? (Medical offices have a legal responsibility to make sure you are not standing in a public spot when you give out personal information.

 

Have you considered what you say on your cell phone in a public place might be giving away  personal information?

 

What does your answering machine disclose about you? Repeating your phone number and asking the caller to leave a message is better than giving names.
